Dr. Liu has been such a gift to me and my wife. We have western medicine doctors in our family but after searching for answers that they couldn't help us find, Dr. Liu's treatment has been amazing. He is very intelligent, thoughtful and truly wants to help his patience.

My wife has slipped disks in her back and pain throughout her body because of it. Dr. Liu has helped significantly release the pain. I am very type A and have anxiety, I also have a few sports related injuries he has been amazing in helping me recover and relax.

I'd highly recommend him!

I get chronic migraines - bad ones that last for days!!  Today I was on day 3 of a migraine that I'd rate an 8 out of 10 on the pain scale. I did a google search for "acupuncture migraines Austin" and came across the positive reviews on Yelp for Honeysuckle Acupuncture and knew I had to give them a try immediately.  I left a message before they opened and got a call back an hour and a half later and an appointment scheduled for 11:30 that morning.

All I can say is THANK GOD for Dr. Liu!!!!!  He spent 2 hours with me, and in addition to doing acupuncture he also did massage and acupressure on my scalp, face, neck, and back, as well as cupping on my back and neck and he even pricked one of my fingers to squeeze blood out of it to "release stress" which sounds really crazy but I could actually feel it working!!!!!

I feel like a human being again instead of someone who had been asking everyone I came in contact with to please shoot me in the face because I was in so much pain!!!

If anything, my migraine is now a 1 out of 10.  I've been to a lot of acupuncturists in several cities including San Francisco, and I think this was the best experience I've ever had.  I am so relieved to know I no longer have to suffer like I had been.

I highly recommend Honeysuckle Acupuncture. Dr. Liu is an expert in his field. He uses moxa, cupping and needles to bring results. He has a gentle needling technique and he is very concerned about comfort and relief. His herb formulas work!!! I first met Dr. Liu when he was on faculty at AOMA and followed him to his centrally located private practice. I have not seen his wife but I have heard she is excellent in working with women's issues. Go see Dr. Liu or Dr. Zeng. Take your herbs and feel better....I did.

I used to suffer from weekly, if not bi-weekly, debilitating migraines. After exhausting other methods of care, I made an appointment with Dr. Liu. Both Liu and his wife, Zheng Zeng, have been treating me for four months now. They are both genuinely kind, concerned, and compassionate. For once, someone tried to get to the root of the cause of migraines instead of offering a quick fix. I have been migraine free for 3 1/2 months now and feel like I have my life back for the first time in years!

Dr. Liu is a miracle-worker! I suffered from chronic, debilitating migraines several 2-3 times per week. I had tried everything else and was on a lot of medication thanks to my neurologist. Nothing was doing much to help. Then I went to Dr. Liu, almost five years ago, and he was the only one to make a difference. I go for periodic maintenance treatments with Dr. Liu and my migraines are now down to one every month or two and are very mild (that may sound like a lot to some people, but it means I can hold a job -a lifesaver for me!). He is incredibly kind and caring. He took the time to find out my whole medical situation and always checks my current status when I come for a treatment. He is also genuinely concerned when I have a bad migraine and wants to do everything he can to help me, and when you're in pain and suffering, it's very nice to know someone cares! His wife, Zheng Zeng, runs the clinic with him and is just as kind and caring. She did a treatment for me once while Dr. Liu was in China and I was very impressed. I have nothing bad to say about them or their clinic and always recommend them to any friends or family who might need acupuncture. In fact, I am getting ready to move away from Austin and one of my first thoughts when I decided to move was "Oh no, I'll have to leave Dr. Liu!" I highly recommend Honeysuckle Acupuncture - you won't be disappointed.

I met Dr. Liu (Le-o) a couple of years ago when a bulging disk resulted in muscle spasms and crippling leg pain. A co-worker suggested I give acupuncture a try - after all, what did I have to lose?

At the time, Dr. Liu was still located at AOMA (he remains on faculty there). I hobbled in, filled out an extensive questionnaire regarding both my mental and physical health. After one hour with Dr. Liu, I was able to stand up straight and walk more normally (and without pain) than I had in days. It was amazing.

These days I see him for tweaks and more maintenance type issues (stress headaches, tightness in my low back), but he is definitely on speed dial should my back issues kick into high gear again.

Because of serious health issues in my mid 30's, that were not treatable through ordinary western medicine, TCM was the most viable (and successful alternative). All my life I had irregular and infrequent menstrual cycles. Sometimes a year would pass before I would have a period again. In April of this year, I developed a rash on the back of my legs that wouldn’t go away. It was very itchy and I was scratching it and damaging my skin while I slept at night. After almost three months of treatment by my medical doctor and a trip to a dermatologist, the rash had worsened and spread to all parts of my body except my face. I was prescribed a steroid shot, two rounds of oral steroid treatments, and a topical steroid cream. None of these had helped my rash. The steroids made me very sick and caused me to have insomnia. I had been weeks without a good night’s sleep from the drugs and the intense itching.

I had an appointment with Dr. Yuxing Liu. I told him that I had never been to and acupuncturist before, but I was really desperate for some relief. He assured me that he could treat me with acupuncture and herbs. I was ready to try anything. After the first treatment, I felt some relief from the "hot” rash and thought maybe I was onto something that could help. Dr. Liu took the time to "listen” and treat me as an individual and not just as another patient. I returned weekly for treatments. Each time, Dr. Liu listened to how I was doing and adjusted my herbs to what I needed the following week. After three acupuncture treatments and three weeks of herbal treatment, the rash was gone. I was sleeping 6-7 hours at a time at night. Now, I am a firm believer in these treatments. I feel great and will continue to see Dr. Liu as needed in the future.

I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy on November 27th and immediately began acupuncture treatment at a clinic in south Austin. After 7 weeks of treatments I saw very little results and asked the acupuncturist for his recommendation. He said he had done all he could do and referred me to Dr. Liu. I was shocked that someone who was collecting almost $300 a week from me would refer me away to another doctor. I called and set up an appointment with Dr. Liu for the next week.

At the initial appointment Dr. Liu spent almost two hours working on my face. He started with an initial discussion of the Bell's and its onset, then treated the area with acupuncture and massage. I have been seeing him for almost 4 weeks and have seen drastic improvements in facial movement. He prioritized treatment by focusing on the eye area first so that I could begin to close my eye. He has moved onto the smile lines and has been able to bring back movement there as well. He is now working on the brow and forehead lines.

Dr. Liu is extremely well versed in neurological diseases and specifically Bells Palsy. He has great nurtitional advice as well. Dr. Liu teaches patients a multi-prong approach to recovery. He makes sure to spend adequate time examining tender facial muscles and treating specific areas of need during each appointment. He also taught me how to massage the muscles when I go home to encourage recovery in between appointments.

I am so thankful to have come in contact with him. My Bell's Palsy is definitely improving and I am positive his treatments are the cause. I would highly recommend visiting Dr. Liu for acupuncture treatments.
